What is 90 Day Free SSL?
90 Day Free SSL is a tool that makes it easy to create free SSL/TLS certificates — valid for 90 days — using the Let's Encrypt infrastructure. Without wrestling with complex command-line tools, we help you set up a secure HTTPS connection for your website in just a few steps.
Our mission
Our goal is to make HTTPS and web security free, simple and accessible for everyone. You don't need to be a server administrator or have deep technical knowledge to run a secure website. By simplifying the process, we want anyone to be able to obtain a certificate — no technical expertise required.
How it works
It is extremely simple and doesn't even require an account:
- You enter your domain name.
- You verify ownership with a DNS record or an HTTP file.
- Once the certificate is ready, you download the CRT, KEY and PFX files in a single ZIP archive.
Within minutes you can create a free certificate and upload the files to your server.
Why is it free?
The certificates are issued by Let's Encrypt, a non-profit certificate authority (ISRG) whose mission is to provide free certificates to everyone. We simply streamline the process you need to obtain that certificate, and we never charge you for it.
A note on transparency
90 Day Free SSL is NOT an official part of Let's Encrypt. It is an independent intermediary / helper tool that makes the certificate-creation process easier. Certificates are issued by Let's Encrypt and are subject to their subscriber terms.
